Interfaith Dialogue for Peace, Rome Meeting

On 26–28 Jan­u­ary, 2016, the Nizami Gan­javi Inter­na­tional Cen­ter (NGIC), in coop­er­a­tion with the Inter­na­tional Soci­ety for Inter­na­tional Organ­i­sa­tion (SIOI), has gath­ered global lead­ers in Rome for a unique two-day event aimed at dis­cussing how inter­faith dia­logue can help address­ing rad­i­cal­iza­tion and extrem­ism.

Bronisław Komorowski joins the meet­ing which brings together cur­rent and for­mer Heads of State, For­eign Min­is­ters, Sec­re­taries Gen­eral as well as Direc­tors Gen­eral.

The group of over 30 emi­nent guests includes Rosen Plevneliyev, Pres­i­dent of the Repub­lic of Bul­garia, Gjorge Ivanov, Pres­i­dent of the Repub­lic of Mace­do­nia, Franco Frat­tini, Pres­i­dent of the SIOI and for­mer Min­is­ter for For­eign Affairs of the Ital­ian Repub­lic, Pietro Grasso, Pres­i­dent of the Ital­ian Sen­ate, Amre Moussa, for­mer Sec­re­tary Gen­eral of the Arab League, as well as Ismael Ser­ageldin, Direc­tor of the Library of Alexan­dria and Vaira Vike Freiberga, for­mer Pres­i­dent of Latvia co-Chairs of the NGIC.
